David Kowalczyk asked:

Cheap Downtown Hotels are one of the places to look from for place to stay in when you are on a trip. In many different countries, downtown is the best place to find the best deals, be it in food, clothing and hotels. If you are a frequent visitor to the great city of Las Vegas, people usually had two options, the strip or downtown. To answer this underlying question you will have to find out about your reason of going to Las Vegas, and how much do you intend to shed. Let’s look at the differences between the strip and downtown.

If you love to be a sightseer then staying on the Strip is something you shouldn’t miss. The strip is actually Las Vegas Boulevard and is one of the most famous streets. First that will come into view is the Mandalay Bay and you will pass through about thirty casinos later and you will see the Stratosphere. So, if you’re looking for the newest, most opulent casinos, the strip is the right place for you. There are cheap hotels for every budget and you will be in a very short distance from the new casinos, which is considered a perfect attraction as well. You can also find here the world-class shopping centers with stores from all over the world.

The gambling area on the strip can be a little expensive, if you want to experience and play table games, the minimum bets are higher than in downtown, but if you want to play the slot machines and video pokers same rates apply. The restaurants on the strip are world class and you can find all the best cuisines you desire. A buffet is also served in just about every casino and some of the restaurants are perfectly outstanding.

The downtown area of Las Vegas on the other hand, is comprised of twelve casinos that are clustered together; you can even have a “casino-hopping” spree. Downtown is considered as the old school Vegas where you can encounter different types of people, the budget minded and the serious gambler. The table limits are lower and there are wide variety of slot machines and video poker.

The hotels range from fine to great. The Golden Nugget is considered the most opulent casino downtown. Every night you can go outside the casinos and look up and see a light show called the Freemont Street experience. This made the connection with most of the downtown casinos. On the other hand, if you want to relax, then downtown may be the place for you. It will all be your option, if you do want to see the casinos, or catch a glimpse of a show on the strip then it would be a cab ride away.

The bottom line is no matter where you are it is always best to find cheap downtown hotels that will cater to your needs.

Las Vegas Tourism Tips: The 5 Most Romantic Vegas Hotels

Scott Russell asked:

Las Vegas is a great place for a romantic getaway. With its incredible resort hotels and casinos, world-class dining, shopping, attractions, and accommodations, Vegas has everything it takes to make your romantic vacation or honeymoon both exciting and memorable.

Of course, certain hotels are far more romantic than others. You probably wouldn’t want to end up at Circus Circus or Excalibur, for those hotels are very popular family destinations and not exactly conducive to quiet romantic escapes.

So what resorts are the most romantic in all of Las Vegas? Read on to find out my picks for the top 5 romantic Vegas hotels.

1. The Venetian Hotel

The Venetian was built with romance in mind. From its re-creation of a Venice canal, complete with romantic gondola rides, to its incredible restaurants, amazingly beautiful lobby, world-class shopping, and luxurious rooms, the Venetian is a wonderful place to get away from it all right in the middle of Vegas.

2. Paris Las Vegas

No city is more romantic than Paris, and the Paris Las Vegas Hotel wonderfully re-creates some of the most noteworthy elements of the City of Light, from its half scale replica of the Eiffel Tower to its uniquely Parisian architecture and cuisine. Paris Las Vegas is romantic inside and out. Don’t miss sunset from the observation deck of the Eiffel Tower - it’s a sight you’ll always remember.

3. Bellagio

The Bellagio Hotel and Casino remains one of the most elegant and beautiful in all of Las Vegas. From its vast man-made lake and water fountain show, timed to Italian opera and classic Sinatra ballads, to its magnificent interior, complete with botanical gardens, an art museum, and incredible shops, the Bellagio is a world unto itself. But it’s the wonderful pool area that is my favorite element of the Bellagio, with an elegant main pool and a half dozen smaller, more private pools, all designed and landscaped like the grounds of a Mediterranean villa.

4. Red Rock Hotel and Casino

If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the Strip for the breathtaking beauty of Red Rock Canyon on the outskirts of town, the Red Rock Hotel and Casino offers five-star luxury amidst a backdrop of natural splendor. It’s hard to believe you’re in Las Vegas when you’re at the Red Rock - it feels a world away. The natural canyon setting makes for a wonderful romantic getaway, yet you don’t sacrifice quality or service - the Red Rock is a world-class resort hotel. Of course, if you want to check out the excitement of the Strip, its a short car or taxi ride away.

5. Wynn Hotel Casino

Steve Wynn set out to redefine luxury in Vegas when he built his new casino, and boy did he succeed in doing so. The Wynn Hotel is simple yet elegant, with a sleek design, wonderfully decorated rooms, incredible landscaping (including man-made ponds and waterfalls), and elegant shops and restaurants. You will be truly pampered at the Wynn, and the level of quality and customer service make it one of the best places in all of Las Vegas for a romantic vacation or honeymoon.
