Realize that the casino was not build with the money that people won.
Then take a certain amount with you, leave your credit cards and check book in the car or at home. Set a win limit and a loss limit, pace yourself and enjoy.
Another good rule is to not drink (alcohol) while gambling, it impairs your judgment and that is a bad thing to happen when gambling.

Make it into a social activity. Find a low denomination game, ideally one in which you could care less about the money, and do something that requires you to make some kind of decision, i.e. not slots.
Play where you can talk to your friends and enjoy the free drinks.

there’s really no way to beat this. all you can do is adjust your money management. if you plan on spending 100, play penny slots.

You need to use discipline when you go to the casino.
First only gamble with money you can afford to lose. and QUIT when you hit your limits.
You should always use a money management system and stick to it. Here is a link to one I use, it can be adapted to any casino game you choose to play.
When you start coming back from the casino with money in your pockets, you will find you had a lot more fun and maybe enjoyed it a bit.
If you cannot stick to a system like this, then you may want to consider giving up gambling at casinos. It is easy to get caught up in it, and it may get worse.
